We are seeking front-line manufacturing team members to produce specialty components supporting the expansion of the electrical grid.  Our production line focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Hands on training provided to train in all phases of this process including mixing, casting, and finishing. CK Composites is seeking a Cast Resin Team Member to mix, cast and or finish components according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Mix resins according to procedures for each product
• Hand pour resin mixture into molds for specialty product demands
• Create high pressure gel components through the detailed process of injection molding
• Perform a variety of finishing processes for each specialty  component according to customers specifications
• Perform your position with the highest levels of safety, quality, and adherence to demanding production schedules
• Understand safety protocols, standard work, and machine operation within the cast resin manufacturing

• Ability to learn and understand our specialty process and apply detail-oriented attention to carry out the process
• Mechanically inclined
• Manufacturing experience is a plus

We are seeking a highly motivated computer science and/or engineering intern to work on various digital transformation projects, leveraging generative AI to streamline operations, enhance organizational awareness, and accelerate adoption of AI-driven processes. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in exploring the intersection of AI, digital tools, and industrial manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Digital Transformation & AI Adoption
   • Work across multiple teams to identify opportunities for generative AI implementation.
   • Assist in digitalizing plant operations by creating AI-driven tools that automate tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
   • Develop AI-powered documentation processes, interviewing key personnel and using AI to generate structured outputs.
   • Explore AI applications for automating internal and external communications.
2. Marketing & Content Creation
   • Generate new and derivative content in a ~3 month marketing sprint, primarily using social media.
   • Create and edit social media content (video and text-based) for platforms like LinkedIn.
   • Record and edit interviews (voice-to-text) for additional content creation and social engagement.
   • Develop a structured approach for content generation using AI tools, including voice narration, B-roll footage, and automated video editing.
3. Quotation & Customer Engagement Tools
   • Assist in developing a Configurator Tool for generating and managing customer quotes.
   • Work on automating cost updates and integrating them into our systems.
   • Support the development of an AI-driven request-for-quote (RFQ) pipeline to streamline incoming customer inquiries and eliminate reliance on email-based requests.
4. Process Documentation & Internal Systems Development
   • Help document critical business processes using AI-driven transcription and summarization.
   • Work with key stakeholders to map out processes for improved efficiency and clarity.
   • Assist in setting up plant signage to enhance communication and organization.
5. KPI & Plant Data Visualization Projects
   • Assist in developing real-time KPI dashboards to provide visibility into plant operations.
   • Support experiments with data acquisition using iPads across the shop floor.
   • Work on integrating AI-generated insights into key decision-making processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Technical background in computer science, engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in AI, digital transformation, and industrial applications; Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong MS Excel capabilities are a plus. 
• Basic experience in video editing, content creation, or social media also a plus.
