Digital Transformation Leader

The Digital Transformation Leader will play a central role in advancing CK Composites’ digital maturity and operational excellence. This position combines strategic oversight of digital transformation initiatives with leadership of the company’s information technology systems and infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Operational Excellence Manager, the Digital Transformation Leader will drive continuous improvement through technology, ensure data integrity across systems, coordinate cybersecurity and CMMC compliance, and enable teams with the digital tools needed to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.

This individual will serve as the internal champion for data-driven manufacturing, secure digital connectivity, and modern business systems integration, helping CK achieve best-in-class performance in quality, compliance, and operational visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead CK’s digital transformation roadmap and ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business goals
  • Coordinate all efforts toward achieving and maintaining CMMC certification and compliance with NIST 800-171
  • Oversee daily IT operations to ensure reliable performance, cybersecurity, and system uptime across the organization
  • Serve as the primary internal contact for IT coordination, vendor management, and infrastructure improvements
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and quality teams to develop integrated digital workflows and data systems
  • Implement, integrate, and continuously improve ERP and related digital systems to enhance visibility, scheduling accuracy, and data traceability, while exploring opportunities for custom in-house solutions where appropriate
  • Establish knowledge capture systems and digital standard work documentation to preserve process expertise
  • Manage IT assets, user permissions, and data governance to ensure secure and compliant information management
  • Lead cross-functional digital projects that enhance productivity, automation, and connectivity on the shop floor
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to build digital literacy and user adoption across departments
  • Identify opportunities for emerging technologies such as Industrial IoT, analytics, and automation tools
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by using data and technology to drive operational excellence
  • Drive adoption of knowledge capture systems to preserve critical process knowledge and reduce single-point dependencies
  • Facilitate training and communication to increase digital literacy across departments
  • Serve as a change agent fostering a culture of digital innovation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Prefer minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or IT systems management
  • Knowledge of CMMC/NIST cybersecurity frameworks and data protection best practices
  • Passion for Lean/Continuous Improvement and Value Stream Management
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Syteline/Infor), Power BI, and digital workflow tools
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Desire to grow and acquire new skills/certifications
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with the production team, quality team, and other key functions to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality in the cast resin manufacturing process.  You will work with a cross-functional team to identify and act upon process improvement opportunities, ensure robust manufacturing procedures/documentation, support new product launches, and leverage our new state-of-the-art casting equipment to maximize value for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation/Implementation of Standard Work, PFMEA’s, Control Plans and other Manufacturing Process Documentation
  • Maintaining manufacturing documentation (drawings, BOM, standard work, etc.) in the ERP system for new and existing products
  • Root cause and corrective actions to drive process improvement and elimination of waste
  • Design and execution trials/experiments to develop CK Composite’s manufacturing technology
  • Design and manufacture/procurement of fixtures, tools, and other such items to support and improve the manufacturing process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing area layouts which support efficient and repeatable execution of the manufacturing process
  • Leverage CK Composites manufacturing and materials expertise to develop the next generation of products in mission critical applications
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering

Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering. Mechanical, Material, or Electrical concentration preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Experience with root cause analysis and related tools
  • Experience with SPC and related methods
  • Understanding of Lean Principles

Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager will lead CK Composites’ maintenance organization with a focus on reliability, safety, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities across the facility, managing maintenance technicians, and driving the transformation from a reactive to a predictive maintenance culture.

The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance planning, spare parts management, and equipment reliability programs while leading CK’s transition to a digital maintenance management system. This individual will ensure maintenance activities support uninterrupted production, efficient use of resources, and long-term asset health across a diverse range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program emphasizing preventive and predictive practices to improve equipment reliability
  • Lead the transition to CK’s digital maintenance management platform, ensuring accurate scheduling, documentation, and data utilization for decision making
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities, balancing planned work, emergency repairs, and production support needs
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are identified, stocked, and maintained for single-point-of-failure assets
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to integrate maintenance planning into new equipment installations and capital projects
  • Implement reliability-centered maintenance tools such as root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and condition monitoring technologies
  • Partner with external contractors for specialized work, ensuring cost-effective and safe execution of maintenance projects
  • Establish and track key maintenance performance indicators such as downtime reduction, PM completion rate, and asset reliability
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team
  • Provide technical guidance and training to ensure technicians develop skills in troubleshooting, reliability methods, and digital tools
  • Participate in long-term facility planning, recommending upgrades, predictive technologies, and process improvements
  • Support compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations related to maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or reliability management within a manufacturing environment
  • Broad technical knowledge including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system with a strong understanding of system controls, control logic, and components across these fields
  • Demonstrated experience developing or managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge in overseeing the maintenance and reliability of older assets and equipment, ensuring optimal performance, extended asset life, and minimal downtime
  • Experience with CMMS or digital maintenance platforms (such as MaintainX or similar)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development and collaboration
  • Proven ability to analyze maintenance data and drive reliability improvements
  • Familiarity with RCFA, PM creation/optimization, and reliability-centered maintenance principles

Processing and Press Operator in Laminates

We are growing rapidly at CK Composites and building an exciting and vibrant culture around our Core Value of “Respect for People.”  We are seeking front-line manufacturing team members to produce densified wood laminate specialty products supporting the expansion of the electrical grid and defense department.  Our production line focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost and hands on training provided in all phases of this process.  CK Composites is seeking a Processing and Press Operator in our densified wood laminate processing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor equipment used to densify wood materials, ensuring proper temperature, pressure, and moisture levels.
  • Prepare raw wood sheets or veneers by cleaning, sorting, and inspecting for defects before processing.
  • Feed materials into densification machinery and adjust settings to meet thickness, density, and quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals, high-temperature surfaces, and pressurized machinery.
  • Work with production supervisors to meet daily output goals and adjust workflows as needed.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor large hydraulic or hot presses used in laminate manufacturing.
  • Load veneer and wood panels into press assemblies according to production guidelines.
  • Adjust press parameters (heat, pressure, cycle time) to achieve required bond strength and surface finish.
  • Inspect pressed panels for defects such as bubbles, delamination, uneven thickness, or surface imperfections.
  • Perform routine mechanical checks, cleaning, and minor repairs on press equipment.
  • Coordinate with quality control personnel to ensure final products meet industry standards.
  • Identify and correct alignment issues before pressing to prevent material waste.
  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures involving high-pressure equipment and heated surfaces.

    Cast Resin Team Member

    We are seeking front-line manufacturing team members to produce specialty components supporting the expansion of the electrical grid.  Our production line focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Hands on training provided to train in all phases of this process including mixing, casting, and finishing. CK Composites is seeking a Cast Resin Team Member to mix, cast and or finish components according to customer specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Mix resins according to procedures for each product
    • Hand pour resin mixture into molds for specialty product demands
    • Create high pressure gel components through the detailed process of injection molding
    • Perform a variety of finishing processes for each specialty  component according to customers specifications
    • Perform your position with the highest levels of safety, quality, and adherence to demanding production schedules
    • Understand safety protocols, standard work, and machine operation within the cast resin manufacturing
